1. Introduction
Welcome to Telegram Voice Reader (“the App”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App collects, uses, stores, and protects your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with transparency.
Telegram Voice Reader enables users to listen to messages from their Telegram groups and channels via Text-to-Speech (TTS) technology.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Telegram Authentication Credentials: Your phone number, verification code, and optional two-factor authentication password are provided directly to Telegram for authentication. These credentials are transmitted exclusively to Telegram’s servers and are never stored by the App in plaintext.
- TTS API Keys (optional): If you choose to use Google Cloud TTS or Microsoft Azure Speech with your own API key, that key is stored locally on your device using platform-native encrypted storage. API keys are never transmitted to any server other than the respective TTS provider.
- App Configuration Preferences: Your settings such as reading mode, voice preferences, speech rate, language, and UI preferences are stored locally on your device.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Telegram Message Content: The App retrieves text content from Telegram groups and channels you have selected. Message text is temporarily cached on your device (default: 7 days).
- Reading History: A local log of messages you have listened to, including message reference, chat title, text snippet, timestamp, and reaction status. Stored exclusively on your device.
- Usage Statistics: Basic usage counters (e.g., TTS character count per month) stored locally to help you track cloud TTS free-tier usage. No usage data is transmitted externally.
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do NOT collect analytics, telemetry, or tracking data.
- We do NOT collect device identifiers for advertising purposes.
- We do NOT collect location data, contacts, photos, or media.

5. Data Storage and Security
All user data is stored locally on your device:
- App data (message cache, reading history, preferences) is stored within the app’s sandboxed storage, isolated from other apps by the operating system.
- Sensitive credentials (TTS API keys, Telegram credentials) are stored using platform-native encrypted storage.
- Telegram session data is managed by Telegram’s official library within the app’s local storage.
Communications with Telegram are encrypted using Telegram’s encryption protocol. Communications with cloud TTS APIs use HTTPS/TLS encryption.
The App does NOT operate any backend server. Your data is never uploaded to any server controlled by 17tek.
6. Data Retention
- Message Cache: Auto-cleaned based on configured retention (default: 7 days). Can be cleared manually.

All locally stored data is permanently deleted when you uninstall the App.
7. Your Rights

- Right to Deletion: Clear cache, history, and all data through settings. Uninstalling removes everything.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Stop using the App, log out of Telegram, or remove API keys at any time.
